DESIGNED TECHNOLOGY
270kW ASHP
100kW PV Array
PROJECT OVERVIEW
Dorchester Primary School is a 4200 m2 educational facility located in Hull, England. Following the successful application of a PSDS grant, GED were engaged to help decarbonise the site through installation of a low carbon heat source and supplementary PV array.
The PSDS grant included electrical upgrades, heat emitter replacements, an ASHP system and 100kWp of solar PV. Following a site survey and investigation of existing documentation, it was therefore recommended that 3 no. 90kW ASHP’s were to be installed to serve 6 plantrooms and replace the existing natural gas boilers.
PROJECT DELIVERABLES
GeoEnergy Design surveyed and provided detailed heat emitter specifications, performed IES heat loss modelling and 3D modelling and produced the entirety of the heat pump system design.
The design pack also included plantroom layout drawings, schematics, Mechanical Specification and Description of Operation document, in line with CIBSE and BSRIA standards. GED additionally liaised with plant manufacturers and other MEP designers and contractors to successfully coordinate services.
